The Little River ShrimpFest, previously the Shrimp & Jazz Festival, is held annually on the 2nd weekend of October at the Historic Little River Waterfront (4460 Mineola Ave). Join us for family fun, festival food, live entertainment, and business expos - but be sure to leave room for seafood sold by the local waterfront restaurants conveniently located within the festival grounds.

ShrimpFest 2016

Due to the devastation from Hurricane Matthew and the uncertainty of the ramifications of the area flooding, the board of directors of the Little River Chamber of Commerce has decided not to reschedule the Little River ShrimpFest this year.

To our patrons: Thank you for your support of our community and our events. We look forward to seeing you at the 37th Annual World Famous Blue Crab Festival May 20 & 21, 2017 and the 13th Annual Little River ShrimpFest October 14 & 15, 2017.

To our vendors: A letter will be sent to you this week outlining your options.

To All: Official event t-shirts will be available at a discount at the Little River Chamber office beginning Thursday, October 13, 2016. Stay tuned for additional locations where t-shirts will be available.


Don’t miss the 13th Annual Little River ShrimpFest, where approximately 22,000 members of our community and visitors gather to celebrate this local favorite. This year’s festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14th, 2017 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 15th, 2017 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is $5 at the gate. Located at the Historical Little River Waterfront (4460 Mineola Ave, Little River, SC 29566).

Festival goers can expect to enjoy a children’s area, face painting, stilt walkers, balloon artists, 2 stages of live music, and approximately 150 different vendors- including a variety of art and craft vendors, business expos, and community organizations. Fresh local seafood will be served by the local waterfront restaurants and your festival food favorites will be available from a variety of talented food vendors.

Live Entertainment 

Enjoy a variety of live entertainment at this music-agnostic festival. Past popular acts include Nathan and the Zydeco ChaChas, Common Ground, Brian Ernst, Bibis Ellison, Crashbox, and more. 

To be considered for the next Little River ShrimpFest, entertainers should email our Entertainment Director, Scott Byrd, at with a link to your EPK by June. Please note that due to a high volume of interest, we are not able to respond personally to every applicant.

Golf Cart Raffle

The Rotary Club of Little River and The Blue Crab Festival is raffling off a Golf Cart to benefit Camp Chemo! The drawing will be held on the Main Stage at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday! Visit their booth to purchase a ticket to support this worthy cause and stay to see them pull your winning ticket on Sunday!
